OUR MISSION STATEMENT

It's simple: To provide our services at the highest level of quality to all our animals friends entrusted to our care.

OUR HISTORY

Some kennels are dark, windowless buildings with poor ventilation, cold floors, and low ceilings. They're like caves, or warehouses for dogs. After leasing an older kennel building like this, and finding I liked the kenneling business, I realized there had to be a more appealing way to provide this service.

Over several years of research and planning, my wife and I began construction of a new and different kind of kennel and grooming facility.

Starting with an open and airy floor plan, we designed our facility to provide your animal friend with lots of windows for letting in natural light, great ventilation for their health, used modern kenneling materials that were capable of being kept scrupulously clean, and installed heated floors for their comfort. After many design changes and enhancements, the concept became a reality.

Opened in January 2010, we quickly became filled to capacity much of the time. Since then, we’ve fenced in our yards, landscaped, put in artificial turf lawns and continued to expand.

We now feature forty main floor dog runs, including twelve runs devoted to small dogs located a bit away away from their bigger buddies. We also have twelve glass-fronted upstairs suites for pets that like a quieter stay, with a little less activity around them. For our feline guests we have a wonderful, quiet, and separate cat boarding room upstairs with ten custom cat suites.

Our lobby is bright and welcoming, with room to mill about. We use a computerized system to offer quick check-ins and check-outs for your convenience.

We hope you’ll stop by and see us. We want you to see for yourself the high quality care your very special animal companion will receive at The Dogwood Pet Resort.

Sincerely,

John Cline
